Pumpkin Picking in Shelby County

It's almost time to pick pumpkins! Shelby County is lucky to have two wonderful farms that have pumpkin patches!

Gallrein Farms

 photo 0924151201_zps854rtmsc.jpg Fall fun at Gallrein Farms starts September 19th as they host the Fall Extravaganza and the Mighty Pumpkin 5K! They will be open from 10 am to 6 pm on that day, and a portion of the proceeds from opening day will go to support local charities! They will continue to have fun activities every weekend until October 31st. 


Weekend activities include:
  • Hay rides to the pumpkin patch
  • Pony rides
  • Barrel train rides
  • Jump pillows 
  • Music & Food 
  • Corn maze
  • Pedal tractors
  • Bounce house
  • Petting Zoo
*The petting zoo is free of charge, but the other activities will cost extra. Hay rides are $2/person this year.

Hours:
Monday-Saturday 9 am to 6 pm
Sunday 1 to 5 pm

Mulberry Orchard

Mulberry Orchard has FREE hayrides to the pumpkin patch on the weekends. They also offer a FREE corn maze and playground (super slide, swings, tires, tunnels, and more) when opened! While you're there you can pick up some apples (many varieties to pick from), apple cider, fresh fruits/veggies, local products, yummy desserts, and even enjoy a meal!

Hours:
Wednesday-Saturday 9 am to 6 pm
Sunday 1 to 5 pm
