Shelby County Summer Reading Program

 
Build a Better World

It's almost time for the Shelby County Public Library Summer Reading Program 2017!

Sign-ups begin Tuesday, May 30.
The deadline to sign-up is Monday, July 10.
All reading logs are due by Monday, July 24.

  • Children reading board books to picture books must read (or be read to) 15 books.
  • Advanced readers must read 3 chapter books.
  • Middle and high school student must read 2 or more novels.

After signing up for the program you will receive a bag and book log.
When you complete the program you will receive a book and coupons!


Below is a schedule of Summer Reading Program events and activities. You do not have to attend these events to complete the program. You can attend as many or as few as you would like. They're just added fun!

June 5-10 Scholastic Book Fair
June 14 Wump Mucket Puppets 11 & 1:00 
June 21 Diana Dinicola: Build a Flamenco Dance 11 & 1:00
June 28 Barry Mitchell, Magician 11 & 1:00
July 5 Mark Wood Fun Show 11 & 1:00
July 12 Animal Tales 11 & 1:00
July 20 Jason Lindsey "Hooked on Science" 11 & 1:00
July 26 or 27 Swim Party (Ticket Required) 7:30-9:30pm
